Sushant Naidu

Sushant Naidu is currently pursing his PhD in International Conflict Management at KSU (Kennesaw State University). Prior to commencing his PhD journey, Sushant was a project officer at the Center for Peace and Conflict Studies where he implement a GIZ funded project during the ongoing conflict Yemen and worked with USIP on the conflict in Libya.
He also worked with the EU and the UN Office of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Yemen (OSESGY) on Track II peacebuilding coordination mechanism in Yemen. He was an advisor at Permanent Mission of Costa Rica to the UN in New York where he worked in the UNGA Fourth Committee on Special Political and Decolonization issues.
Sushant has led SOGI (Sexual Orientation Ang Gender Identify) sensitization trainings for the New Delhi Police Force. In addition, he has worked in Thailand, Vietnam, Kuwait, and Jordan. He speaks Spanish, Portuguese, Hindi, Urdu, and Arabic.
He co-authored UNDP’s Framework on Development as a Pathway for Conflict Prevention and Recovery. His work has been published in the International Policy Digest, Huffington Post, and International Negotiation.
Sushant’s research focuses on affect, gender, and sexual minorities in conflict. At KSU, he teaches ‘Love and Sex’ and ‘Understanding Peace and Conflict.’ He has presented his research at MIT and the London School Economics.
