Sajid Ali Tarar

Sajid Ali Tarar serves as Chairperson of the Dignity and Rights Foundation, bringing decades of legal training, entrepreneurship, and community leadership to the organization's mission of advancing human dignity and equal rights for minority communities.

Born in Mandi Bahauddin, Punjab, Pakistan, Mr. Tarar moved to the United States to pursue legal studies, earning his law degree and going on to build a career at the intersection of law, business, and public service. He became a U.S. citizen in the 1990s and has since built his career as an entrepreneur and community leader based in Baltimore, Maryland.

Alongside his professional work, Mr. Tarar has devoted much of his career to civic and philanthropic service. He is the founder and CEO of the Center for Social Change, a nonprofit organization dedicated to community development and social welfare initiatives. In recognition of his contributions to social service, Washington Adventist University conferred upon him an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters.

Over the years, Tarar has remained an active voice within the Pakistani-American community, working to strengthen ties between diaspora communities and to advance civic participation, social welfare, and community representation.

As Chairperson of the Dignity and Rights Foundation, Sajid Tarar brings this same commitment to law, community, and social welfare to the Foundation's work — supporting its mission to protect the rights and dignity of minority communities in Pakistan and around the world.
