Four kinds of work, one argument

Casework, evidence, education, and policy. Each one makes the others land harder.

02 · Documentation

Evidence, gathered properly

Courts, commissions, and journalists all act on evidence — and minority communities in Pakistan are chronically under-documented. We record incidents of discrimination and violence with rigour and care: verified accounts, dated, sourced, and held securely.

Care matters as much as rigour here. Documentation is done with consent, at a pace the person can manage, and without asking anyone to relive an incident for the sake of a better quote.

  • Incident recording and verification
  • Thematic research on patterns across districts and sectors
  • Submissions to national and provincial human rights bodies
  • Secure case archives, retained only with consent

03 · Community outreach

Rights are only useful if you know you have them

We run awareness sessions in minority neighbourhoods across Pakistan, covering what legal protections exist, what a lawful process actually looks like, and what to do when a process is being ignored. Sessions are run in the language of the community, and are designed for people who may have had bad experiences with institutions before.

  • Rights awareness sessions for community groups and congregations
  • Guidance for parents on school enrolment and religious instruction
  • Workshops on documenting an incident safely
  • Referral pathways to legal support

04 · Policy advocacy

From a stack of cases to a change in practice

Documented patterns are what move institutions. We take our findings to legislators, statutory commissions, and provincial authorities, and press for enforcement of protections that already exist on paper — quota implementation in public employment, curriculum safeguards, and procedural protections in conversion and marriage cases.

  • Submissions and briefings to parliamentary and provincial bodies
  • Engagement with national and provincial minority commissions
  • Coalition work with Pakistani civil society organisations
  • Public reporting on implementation gaps
